Understanding a language goes beyond just knowing the words—it’s about connecting with its heart. What we needed to do was get Gen Z and millennials to sign up to learn with Duolingo by creating a buzzworthy idea that taps into their fandoms and helps them get more out of what they love. To inspire Gen Z and millennials to join the Duolingo journey, we crafted an exciting competition that harnesses their passion for their favorite franchise that had a bad ending. This thrilling showdown invites fans to rally together, competing for the ultimate prize: A perfect ending.
